Osteoporosis risk factors

Osteoporosis is a disease of the bone in elderly humans. Recent research states that young women can increase their bone mass up to 20% for retirement savings, through diet and exercise that right. There are several factors that
causes a person has osteoporosis:

  • Age. Increasing age, the higher the risk of osteoporosis. This is due to the increasing age of a person, then the bone will decrease the strength and density.
  • Gender. Women are more at risk for osteoporosis because bone tissue which has fewer and faster bone loss than men.
  • Genetics (Heredity). Women who in the family health history, the grandmother or mother, never had a broken spine, is more at risk of reduced bone mass.
  • Ras. Research shows that women living in western countries have a greater risk of osteoporosis than women of Asia. This is because in Asia get more sun.
  • The structure of bone. Women who have a form of thin bone and lean body too, has a greater risk of developing osteoporosis than women big boned, solid, and built fertile.
  • Menopause. menopausal women are more susceptible to osteoporosis.
  • Hollywood life. Smoking habits, alcohol intake, and lack of exercise load.
  • Treatment of chronic diseases. Certain drugs such as drugs to treat cancer, endometriosis, and so on, and long-term treatment may increase the risk of osteoporosis. Similarly, chronic disease that affects the lungs, stomach, small intestine, and the changing hormone levels, and low testosterone in men is also undetectable risk factors.
